Court Reporters Training Council (CRTC) Committees

The Standing Committees of the Court Reporters' Training Council are charged with identifying pedagogical curriculum for court reporters, providing guidance to Georgia’s continuing education requirements, and managing compliance issues. A brief description on each Standing Committees is noted below.

  1. Accreditation Committee monitors courses approved for continuing education (CE) credits, examine alternative delivery methods to increase offerings of highly qualified courses, recommend curriculum and training providers for preapproval, perform routine audits, review course evaluations, and provide feedback as required.
  2. Rules Committee manages compliance of continuing education requirements, recommend amendments or changes to the Continuing Education Manual, and monitor administrative changes and updates to the Georgia Certified Court Reporters Resource Guide.
  3. Curriculum Development Committee manages compliance of continuing education requirements, recommend amendments or changes to the Continuing Education Manual, and monitor administrative changes and updates to the Georgia Certified Court Reporters Resource Guide.
  4. Executive Committee has general supervisory charge of the affairs of the Court Reporters’ Training Council in the interim between meetings, subject to general policy guidelines which may be established by the full Council. Membership of the Executive Committee consists of the Chair, Vice-Chair, and Secretary.
